I loved this story! The Harlem Renaissance is one of my favorite periods in history, and it was so gratifying to read about it in a compelling and captivating romantic story. Leigh and Miles are the couple who make sweet music together. Their romantic journey is indeed a serenade to love. One of the best features of this story is the brilliant inclusion of African Americans who were popular during that amazing period. Author Sheryl Lister is to be commended for penning a wonderful story that draws you in from the first chapter. (Side Note: I love that link between this story and the next one.) This series is wonderful, and the stories get better and better. LOVE’S SERENADE is an impressive tribute to the Romance genre and the historic Harlem Renaissance. It is also a valuable addition to the Decades: A Journey of African American Romance series, and I recommend it.
